The short version: BrewPilot does not collect, gather or transmit any personal data. Everything you create stays locally on your iPhone.

2. What data does the app process?
Everything you create in BrewPilot (beans, brews, photos, equipment, notes, settings) is stored exclusively on your device. There is no user account, no provider server, no analytics or tracking services and no advertising. Your data only leaves your device if you actively share it yourself (for example a recipe card or a .brewpilot file via AirDrop) — and it is part of your regular device backup (iCloud or computer backup, according to your iOS settings).
3. Permissions and system services
- Camera / photo library: only to capture bean photos and label scans; images are stored locally.
- Location (optional, "while using"): only for the weather-based grind adjustment. Weather data is provided by Apple (WeatherKit); location processing is handled by iOS in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy. The provider of BrewPilot does not receive your location. The feature can be switched off.
- Notifications (optional): local reminders (for example bean freshness) are scheduled on the device; there are no push servers.
- Apple Intelligence (optional, device-dependent): text recognition during import and the coach chat run entirely on the device (Apple's on-device models). No content is transmitted to the provider.
- Web import: if you use the link import, your device loads the web page you specified directly — just like a browser. The privacy policy of that web page applies.
4. Your rights
Since the provider stores no personal data about you, requests for access, rectification or erasure have nothing to act on — there is simply nothing held. You can delete your local data yourself at any time in the app ("Delete all data") or by removing the app. For privacy questions, reach us at info@brew-pilot.com.
5. Changes
Should future features (for example optional cloud sync) introduce any data processing, this policy will be updated in advance and the change will be made visible in the app.
